That said - I also don't know how anyone runs an executable they've not thoroughly checked over. And like... don't do QA for free. If they're developing this project, they can pay for QA.

Honestly I think I can draw a distinction here though. The game is already out and playable. Giving current players the choice to try out beta versions feels quite different than asking someone privately to QA an unreleased alpha they've never touched or heard of before.

I like it when my software works, so I do qa for free and demand fixes
