For those of you having problems creating a head texture, here is a 100% free guide on how to create your head.
Create your head in your favourite art package. I recommend starting from the template texture (it is attached to this post).
Save your head as either a BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, TGA or XPM. The image must have at least one color pixel (that is not black or white)
Go here: http://toribash.reversers.org/image2tga/
Upload the head. Once submitted, it will be converted to the correct format. Download the file once it is done.
Rename the file to your in-game name minus the clan tags. My ingame name is [bncy]SlainVet so my head is called slainvet.tga
If you copy the head to your Toribash heads folder (CProgram Files\Toribash\heads) you can preview the head using THP http://www.toribash.com/forum/index.php?topic=156.0. You can then get the head looking exactly how you want it.
Once done, upload the renamed file to the head uploader in your User CP ( forums )

For those of you having problems creating a head texture, here is a 100% free guide on how to create your head in Windows XP.
Click on the Files link and then download the correct files.
(at the time of writing, this is gimp-2.3.14-i586-setup.zip and gtk+-2.10.6-1-setup.zip)
Once downloaded, run the GTK+ installer, then the GIMP installer.
I recommend following all the default settings etc. This is up to you though.
Create your head in your favourite art package. I recommend starting from the template texture (it is attached to this post).
Open your new head in your favourite art package and copy it (edit > copy). Open template.tga (attached to this post) in The GIMP and paste your head into it (edit > Paste into).
Now you just need to save your head. Select File > Save As... (NOT File > Save). Choose a filename (ending in .tga) and press Save. Press the Export button on the next screen. Now uncheck RLE Compression and press OK.
The new head is now in the same directory as template.tga.
If you copy the head to your Toribash heads folder (CProgram Files\Toribash\heads) you can preview the head using THP http://www.toribash.com/forum/index.php?topic=156.0. You can then get the head looking exactly how you want it.
If you are having problems saving the file as a .tga file, you can try my image2tga page. It can convert any BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, TGA, XPM to Toribash-compatible TGA. This is in beta and I do not guarantee that it will work. http://toribash.reversers.org/image2tga/
you make it 128 x 128 with a graphics program ( gimp or photoshop, whatever u want. ) I recommend you make sure the thing you export is shaped as a square anyway, if the height is wrong, cut down the lower parts abit, because thats where the neck will be, no difference really.
Im still having problems, I used Gimp and saved it correctly and all that. But when i go to the Head textures page in the User CP It won't let me browse. I think this may be on account i don't know where the heads folder is.
Ok im using Paint on a vista computer and whenever I change it to 128 by 128 pixels it cuts most of the picture out and I can only see like a portion of the picture. How do I fix this?
