Was supposed to be "benkei" but unfortunately it was taken.
The name comes from "Mushashibo benkei", who is, in japanese folklore, is said to be a monk who beats 999 peoples, took their weapons to forge it into an armor, and then defeated on his 1000th battle by minamoto no yohitsune, then becomes his servant his entire life.
He is also known for died standing.

I first heard the name from a random comic i read about online game where people control robots to fight each other. Benkei got depicted here as your stereotypical heavy-armored robot.
