Using your super doesn't always go into 3rd person. It's only the bladedancer i think, and the animation for activating the super is temporarily 3rd person.
It's also 3rd person when you're in the citadel.

Well it actually ALWAYS goes to 3rd person upon activating your super. Didn't expect anyone to think, I meant for its entire duration.
Destiny is the most over-hyped piece of shit I've ever played, it looks like a cross between borderlands and some gay mmo shit, and the combat is godawful. Bungie must have been like "hey let's make something really creative and wacky and then obese neckbeards and anorexic blue haired girls who live in chicago and hang out at internet cafe's will buy this and love it!!!!1"
