I've been playing a game called Don't Starve lately, it's pretty amazing but not free or multiplayer or anything you wish for.

Freestyle Gunz, free but kinda repetitive.
There are clans.

Haven and Hearth, also free and somewhat repetitive only if you decide to do the same thing over and over again.
There are villages/towns, etc. Hunt, forage, farm, and even kill other players.
