u just select it, and copy it. then u look at ur brushes, and its right there

doing it in gimp is exactly the same, except when you save it you need to save it as name.pat in your gimps pattern folder. the path for windows should be:

CProgram Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\patterns

i dont know for mac


edit: another important thing, you have to restart gimp to see the pattern
