My advice is to try and keep the momentum going all through out your break dance. Let your movements flow off of one another and if you need a little kick or punch off the ground to keep you going, don't be afraid to experiment with movements and rotations.

imo, some of the most important joints when breakdancing, are the chest area joints. A prime example of which is attached below. Another thing is that you want to end with a nice pose, to give it more "style", if you will.
