Okay. Lets say, for this example, that you want to upload a head spinny onto a post in the forums like this:
Sorry mraries for using your file, but it was right there.

Here's how to do this with Gimp.
1. Open up your file in Gimp.
2. Go to Filters. Go to Animation. Go to Spinning globe.
3. You can change the frames to decide how fast the spinny moves. More frames means that it spins slower. I like to use 30-35 frames. Press OK.
4. After it finishes loading, you need to save it as a ".gif" file. Also, (THIS IS IMPORTANT) save the file as an animation. DON'T MERGE VISIBLE LAYERS.
5. Once you've saved it, open your browser (safari, firefox, internet explorer, etc.) and upload the gif file onto an image hosting website such as tinypic.com or imageshack.com. I personally like imageshack.com because you can upload multiple things.
6. Take the URL for the gif from website like the one up above "http://i45.tinypic.com/34i30c0.gif".

Now, in order to put it into one of your posts:

Go to the advanced section. From there, there is a yellow box with a mountain and a sun. Click that icon. It'll ask you for the URL of the picture/animation you want to post. Place "http://i45.tinypic.com/34i30c0.gif" in the URL. It will show up when you submit your post.
