Honestly it depends on what you define as an 'alien'. If you're looking for grey, large headed beings go somewhere else. If you're talking complex forms of life from another planet then yes, it's highly plausible that there are extra terrestrials within the billions of planets in the Universe, it's hard to believe we would be the only sentient lifeforms. Even if microbial life is found on another planet they're considered alien.

Who cares if we're the only life in the universe or if other organisms are experiencing what we are.Probably one of the stupidest things i've heard yet. Who cares if there's organisms out there who may know more about life than we do.

If they were that smart they'd have found us by now.
Right?
Also, as there is no way (yet), to prove there is life on other planets beyond our solar system - we can do nothing other than speculate.
It's really just a matter of do you believe? And that's fucking pointless.
Who cares if you believe or not? Believing isn't going to find those aliens.

Life does exist definitely in universe, but the question gets more complicated with sentient creatures, or simply "clever" beings,
its very hard for a creature to become a thinking one.
What about planets?
for now, Gliese 581 system may contain 3 planets that are within the "habitable zone", that means the temperature is enough to sustain the water as a liquid, and the gravity is enough for planets to be covered with atmospheres
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gliese_581_c
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gliese_581_g
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gliese_581_d

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gliese_1214_b - that planet may be an "ocean planet" which is fully covered by water with no solid surface

In our solar system some planets can be habitable with simple lifeforms:
Mars, Ganymede, Titan, Europa, Callisto, Triton, Enceladus, and maybe few others,
but only Titan has liquid on its surface, which is consist of CH4 (methane),
others likely to have subsurface oceans

Of all these crazy tales of aliens on earth, I have at least one with no explanations and with evidence and consequences from human injury to death.
Weird shit happens, that's of no doubt. Something out of the ordinary happened in this case. We might never know what it was, but it's worth of pondering.

@wicked

I'm not saying you shouldn't believe, i'm just proclaiming - back to my original point: who cares if you do or don't believe?
You guys seemed to take my comment rather badly.
I'm just tired of seeing people with nothing creative to say about aliens apart from 'I believe in them because there are so many other planets out there.'
