Yeah I'm looking for the things like tradition and religion the most.

I'm mostly looking if there is a preferred animal.
Well, in Poland there are no forbidden animals etc. In my opinion the preffered animal would be a teddy bear. There's a long history of teddy bears in polish cartoons etc., Winnie the Pooh is also very popular there. Other than that, I think that young boys generally prefer the more 'boyish' animals - lions and tigers come to mind. As for girls, I dunno, I guess it's... ponies >_> Teddy bear would be a bit neutral I think.
Otherwise, dogs are also quite popular (google Reksio).
Also, from my experience of buying presents for nephews etc., young boys in Poland are crazy about firefighters/policemen. And they quite enjoy football.
