What i don't like is his expression
The metal textures were copied right? Since, i can't really imagine anyone patient enough to shade each little bump my hand.
And both of the blue spots seem really out of place. The ones in the back...
I'm not sure what's wrong with them. Perhaps just cuz of the color, they look strange to me. Or maybe cuz the spot they go into doesn't show up well at that angle.


Also, the metal in the back should have a border. Otherwise, it really shows up like 2D. And the holes wouldn't just abruptly end.
And the two slits on the sides could have some shading into the back, like into the holes, so it looks like it following the curve, instead of going into the head. It seems like that was what you were trying for in the hand drawn one.

The rest of the head is pretty much perfect ^_^
