<Kristis133> Hey-ho CheZDa! What's up?
<CheZDa> Nothing much, just watching youtube
<Kristis133> I see. Okay, so without further delay, let's start.
<CheZDa> Let's.
<Kristis133> Tell us about who's hiding behind Chezda's nickname.
<Kristis133> Where are you from, what's your name, hobbies etc.
<CheZDa> My name's Kalle, I'm 26 and I live in Finland. All I do is sit in front of the computer all day and play games, listen to music and watch movies and anime.
<Kristis133> Haha, living an ordinary gamer life, eh?
<CheZDa> Oh and occasionally make videos for Youtube. ;)
<Kristis133> Yeah, I've already noticed that. They're pretty nice.
<Kristis133> So how did you stumble upon toribash?
<CheZDa> Honestly I don't remember, it probably was a friend who told me about it.
<Kristis133> It's okay, let's just move on.
<Kristis133> What is your opinion about Toribash?
<Kristis133> What did you like and didn't like about it?
<CheZDa> It's a very interesting game, when I first tried it I was blown away how you could make the character do whatever you wanted to do.
<Kristis133> Yeah, the only thing that might stop you is your imagination, that's why Toribash is unique, you can always come up with something new. Was there anything you didn't like about it?
<CheZDa> What I don't like is how slow it is, I like to react to situations when I play games and Toribash doesn't have that.
<CheZDa> That's what ultimately made me stop playing it.
<Kristis133> I see. You never were very active in forums... And if I recall correctly you quit playing MP after awhile. However, your single player skills were beyond this world. What got you into replay making and how long did it take you to become that good?
<CheZDa> I did play some MP with the guys in bncy. Anyway like I said I really liked the fact you could move any way you wanted so I just spent hours and hours trying to come up with cool moves. I just lost myself sometimes editing a replay, trying to get it right, so I don't really know how much I actually played.
<Kristis133> Making a good replay is indeed usually very time consuming. It seems that you were really into SP at that time if you can't even tell for how long you played, haha.
<CheZDa> And I never considered myself to be very good, I always liked other people's replays more than mine.
<Kristis133> Your replays were unique, which is in my opinion why they are remembered even after all this time. They were something special, something different. Since we're talking about replays making, I have a question from a guy named Sir: Was it your aim to develop a unique style at replay making or did that just happen without no intention?
<CheZDa> I don't know I guess it just happened, my aim was to make moves that looked nice.
<Kristis133> I see.
<Kristis133> When we were talking about toribash I forgot to ask...
<Kristis133> What was toribash like on early stages of development, how did the community evolve?
<CheZDa> I liked the small community in the beginning, I was a bit more active in the community then. I don't know what else to say, it just felt more inviting when there weren't thousands of players.
<Kristis133> Ah, so you've just answered my next question...You liked the old community better right? But still...What do you think about all this new stuff? Hair, cat ears, joint textures, high resolution textures and so on? Remember the times when we had to pay 20k for 128x128 head texture? Now that item is literally almost worthless. What do you think about these changes?
<CheZDa> Well I haven't been around for most of that stuff and I don't really care about cosmetic items all that much.
<CheZDa> Almost all the items I have were given to me and I won my textures from the video competition.
<Kristis133> Ah. But do you think that new stuff coming out is a good or a bad thing?
<CheZDa> Of course it's a good thing, the more options the better.
<Kristis133> Ohhhkay.
<Kristis133> So, have you ever been a part of staff team?
<Kristis133> Or atleast any l-mod positions?
<CheZDa> Umm, for a very brief time I was some sort of mod I think, I never asked to be one so I don't know what it was about.
<Kristis133> You mean super moderator or local moderator?
<CheZDa> probably a super mod, it was long time ago so I don't really remember the details.
<Kristis133> All good, that answers my question.
<Kristis133> A player named smosh023 wants to know how did you get your cat set?
<Kristis133> It's pretty damn awesome.
<CheZDa> I just drew something and that was the result.
<Kristis133> Oh, so you are an artist?
<Kristis133> Now that's quite interesting, I didn't know that.
<CheZDa> I always make my own stuff in games.
<Kristis133> Awesome sauce.
<Kristis133> I know that it's going to be hard to answer my next question since you were inactive for quite a long period of time, but I'll still ask.
<Kristis133> How do you see toribash in the future?
<Kristis133> Do you think this game has potential to become a steam game or just something more than it is now? Do you think it'll survive for long?
<CheZDa> I don't think Toribash needs to be on Steam, I don't know how many people still play it but I imagine it will survive for quite a long time.
<CheZDa> It's a very unique game.
<Kristis133> Indeed, there are not a lot of online ragdoll fighting games around.
<CheZDa> Are there other games like Toribash?
<Kristis133> Doubt it, haha.
<Kristis133> I am pretty sure that everyone, including me, wants to know if there is a slightest chance that you will ever come back to Toribash?
<CheZDa> Uhh, if someone asks me to play MP with them I could probably play a few rounds but probably never SP again, I just played way too much of it and lost the taste for it.
<Kristis133> Aye. So, we're almost done.
<Kristis133> Would you like to say hi to any old toribash friends of yours?
<Kristis133> Quite a lot of people will be reading this, so huge chances are that the mentioned people will read it aswell. :>
<CheZDa> I want to give a shoutout to my man Ishi, it was always fun to play MP with him. :P
<Kristis133> It's always Ishi, uch. Haha. Okay, I'll make sure he reads this.
<CheZDa> Haha, great.
<Kristis133> So I guess that pretty much wraps it up.
<CheZDa> Ok.
<Kristis133> Any last words?
<Kristis133> This is usually the moment where people share their secrets with readers or tells us something intriguing.
<CheZDa> I can't think of anything cool, play the acrojoust mod, I made it.
<CheZDa>
<Kristis133> You made acrojoust? Now that's another surprise! That mod is quite popular nowadays so you don't have to worry about that. We will play it!
<CheZDa> Really? Glad to hear that.
<Kristis133> So yeah, thanks for your time, man. And you said talking with you wouldn't be interesting. This interview was just great!
<CheZDa> Nah, that was a long way from a great interview
<Kristis133> No need to be so modest, haha.
<Kristis133> Okay, so, thanks again!
<Kristis133> Talk to you later, CheZDa.
<CheZDa> Bye!
