Ehm, pretty good for a first sig, however brush spamming is a DREADFUL habit to fall into. I like to stray away from using brushes at all when making things except when it comes down to smudging.
You'd be amazed by what you can come out with without using a single brush, it just takes practice and after a fair bit of time you develop good techniques to fill space effectively without using brushes.
No offense, but you might as well take 2 pictures you have saved and paste them all over a picture. It just doesn't appeal to me, sorry. Although it's good you figured out you can download brushes.. I didn't figure that out until like 2 months into PS. :O
