Terran dont suck. You just have to know how to play them like the other races. I can beat the Protoss AI with the Terran(make LOTS of bunkers, like around 20)... then again I can beat the AI in any combination.
All the races are good. I've beat all of them and lost to all of them. Whatever.

Stickicide just can't play.

I absolutely love the demo i got from my friend, this is a great game(but hard and complicated if you didnt play starcraft 1) this game is challenging alot of fun, and your planning to get it, do it.

I meant more race.

Terran has EMP to combat Protoss.

Zerg has Queen infections, plus generally working well vs infantry, to combat Terran.

Protoss has High Templar to combat Zerg.

Well everything has counters, otherwise the game would just be stupid.

Imagine if nothing had counters, the game would just be a meat grinder, the winning player being the person who has the most barracks/best economy.

I kinda prefer it to be more strategic (ling rush, get the hellions!)
It's not gambling if you learn the counters

Consider this, one of the main objectives is to control vision, usually this means rushing early game with a worker so you can check out their base, and see what they are building. Once that is done you will probably want to raid to check out further, waring in zealots, using reapers, or burrowed lings. You need to see what your enemy is doing.
Then you need to build units to counter him.

And you also need to be able to by dynamic and fluid, building whatever you need to counter your enemy. It is all about strategy.
So eh... What do you do against a Terran then? To be able to scout after they block, you should have enough zealots to overrun almost the entire base. It would usually just turn out to be a suicide and you'll be left behind so much.
