Well the two most important skill in CSGO is definitely aim and movement as previously stated. You need to consistently aim to your enemy's head and do micro-adjustments to hit the target in CSGO. Though aiming isn't only hitting the enemy's head, it's also mastering the spray pattern for weapons such as the m4, ak and maybe some smgs like the ump. Movement isn't only pressing WASD randomly, it's about knowing the map and understanding the edges & corners, jiggle peaking/shoulder peaking, b-hopping/strafe jumping.

You can combine your aim and movement in CSGO to become an even deadlier player. You can train your crosshair placements for every map, so you can understand all the common positions your enemy might be and all you have to do is press the left mouse button to headshot the enemy. Movement and aiming could also be used when using the mp9. The mp9 has a really good running and jumping accuracy, therefore if you combine good movement and aim it could be a very good weapon for anti-eco rounds.

Another thing that you should know about is the economy of the game. Due to the recent update, the side that lost the pistol round will receive $1900 instead of the previous $1400. This is a huge change as now teams have options wether to full save 2nd round and buy 3rd round or force buy 2nd round and if they lose they'll have to full buy at the 4th round. Understanding these little things are definitely important in becoming a good CSGO player.

Understanding the smokes, flashes and molotovs for the competitive maps are also essential skills. The difference of what makes a good team good and a bad team bad is their understanding of how to use their utilities and teamwork. For example look at the pro team Astralis, they have great teamwork and uses their smokes, flashes, molotov and grenades effectively and this is what made them the best team this year.

There are essentially two types of skills in CSGO, mechanical skills and mental skills. Mechanical skills are basically your aim and movement, while mental skills are you game sense, knowledge of the map, understanding of the economy and how and when to use your utilities. Mechanical skills are definitely easier to train, as all you have to do is go to maps such as aimbotz, recoil master or ffa deathmatches, while mental skills are gained through playing the game and understanding the game over time, though watching pro matches and understanding what they do and what they don't do could help too.
