I dont know what is the tech envolved in this purple strands, You must have seen someone doing it, try to color all the strand and shade, In my opinion it works better.

In a texture, either cartoon, if you want to add depth you need to put shadows and light. Your texture still lack depth, but continue,
the outlines works great

Thanks! Yes, I have seen the purple strands being used some where but I forgot. I am also thinking about adding a shadow under the hair to make it a bit better so that might work. Since I am starting all over again I will try to cram in everything everyone told me to work on.
