i3-8350k with be quiet pure rock cooler for future oc,
gtx 980ti, z370-p mobo, 16gb ddr4 ram patriot viper 2400mhz cl14, 650w corsair psu and 500gb samsung 860 evo + some generic 2tb toshiba hdd.
It crushesh everything at 1080p and editing feels super good.

the cost was about 5000pln which is ~1366usd but real cost was a bit different.
I only bought gpu and cpu. That 980ti is used (fkn cryptocurrency mining screwed up the prices ALOT). For the rest of the rig I'm gonna pay monthly : D

About the gpu, it's not only used, it was repaired. Fun fact, most of the vendors won't fix your card if you rma it, they just give you a new one and all of the "not working" cards are being sold later on in huge ass auctions. The guy who sold me this card said that he's buying some of these "not working cards", he repairs them and sells them for cheaper. I spoke with him, he REALLY knows whats he doing. Some of these cards are as easy to fix as replacing thermal coumpound, cleaning heat sink, replacing the fans cuz theyre catching on something etc. But this one had problem with pcb, the guy replaced some electronics and it works as well as new.

anyways Aadame, as far as I know your processor is kinda weak compared to the rest of your config and it'll limit most of its performance so, an i5 would fit better, I guess.

Also when you said 16GB RAM I was OwO and I still am Owo becase I've never seen that and feels unnecessary too, since there's no game that uses 16GB but I'm only aware about games so I shouldn't say shit

Lionet, not really. The cpu is good enough, it's 8th gen processor. It's unlocked so I can overclock it if I need to, but it also has 4 cores and 4 threads and it's sitting stock at 4ghz. It's not bottlenecking anything : D
The unlocked i5 is like 30% more expensive and only 10% better performance.
Theres no need for 16gb of ram in games thats for sure, but it finds it needs in multitasking with multipe editing programs for example

980ti launched in 2015 as well as Intel's skylake processors.
i7-7700k with 4 cores and 8 threads would be a perfect match for 980ti at that time YET it's only 3% "better" than my i3-8350k.
Had I went with 1080ti then yeah that i3 would be kinda wrong pick there, but for nvidia's 9xx series is more than enough

i3 is decent in general, I think any newer processor is useless if you just want a good PC, I have an i7 but in my opinion it's useless as fuck. I won't complain but an i5 is more than enough
