Heres a very easy way to make carbon fiber (or carbon fibre) in photoshop, it can be useful for texture making etc.

Step 1:Open up photoshop and make a 4x4 pixel image and use the pencil tool to make it like this:


Step 2: Do edit: define pattern, and name it whatever you want, like carbon fiber, Or in my case, Pattern 1 (I was too lazy to change the name):


Step 3: Make a new document 512x512, or 128x128 pixels do edit-fill...-then choose your pattern, and do ok. and you're done!

All you gotta do is make the same 4x4 image, then save it as a brush, then fill it with that, i would show u but my gimp is taking a shit right now so i cant.
