You need textures to use them, just makes texture look better.

i think they just let u make the original textures look more realistic, but i might be wrong

it changes the way light affects ur textures.it doesnt work for some versions of toribash so be cautious.

They make them look more in depth, in a 3-D feel.

They don't for 3.8, I'm not sure about the newest versions.

Even though I should add that Bumpmap Textures should work in Toribash 3.86.
