[UV / Rig] Toribash Character for 3ds max
Hi there, I made a toribash character for 3ds max, ready to use your own textures (textures used in game) and partially rigged (I only made elements hierarchy and affect pivot centers).

I hope it will be useful for beginners in 3ds or anyone looking for a tori character for 3ds.

Just extract the archive in a folder. Each material corresponds to a part of the body and it texture.

Hm, there are not enough materials for each body part, how do I fix this?

Pleased to see that useful to you !

You have to display the 24 slots of the material editor.

Open your material editor, then right click on a slot et click on "6 X 4 Sample Windows".

Normally, you'll access to all material that i've prepared.

Having trouble how to put more than one tori into the scene though, sorry for being so noob :s

To put more than one tori in your scene, you have two solutions :

- you can select all the elements of the tori, take the move tool (shortcut : W), hold shift, then drag and drop on a axe. It will clone selected elements.

- you can also do Files >> Merge... >> select the tori file. It will open a window where you can see all the elements in your files. On the right, you can choose showed category (List Types). On the left, you can select elements to merge.
For the tori, just select "Geometry" category, and then, select all the elements. Click on merge.
It will ask you what have it to do with same named elements. You can rename then one by one, or auto-rename then.
In last part, it will ask you what have it to do with same named materials. Select "Use scene material" for all elements in order to use you scene material.

it's a correctly textured Tori rig for 3d studios max

the rig it'self is an object that reacts almost realisticly when different parts are moved ex: you move the hand towards the pec, and the elbow bends

Hmm, i still dont' really get how to have like 5 tori's in, all textured :s

Very usefull stuff, but i got my own already =P

phail: try to save them one by one and then merge them in new scene (File\Merge...)

read some tutorials about the materials and you'll get it.
