[ART] Hand drawn sets?
Hey guys, Murda here

Pretty soon I'm going to start making texture sets by hand.
Although the task seems daunting, I have enough free time in the day to work on things piece by piece.

If anyone is interested, just send me pm letting me know what kind of set you want that corresponds to one of the pictures below.

Here are some examples of what I draw. 6, 9, and 10 are the more recent ones.
(I took some of these pictures with my iPod, sorry for the bad quality)

Very nice abstractness of your art. Well drawn.
I like the last one the best, has a tribal-ish feeling to it.

Nice work bro!
If you just vector and map these, you could make quite a reasonable amount of profit from these.

Keep it up.

But I still love [l]. I also love you.
Thanks man, if you tilt your head to the left on #6, you will know that it's a face. I just started/finished that today. It's on a large sheet of paper as well, so I plan on filling it up :P.....Definitely going to take some time though.

._. a pretty ugly face... i dont really like this kind of draws but it reminds me when I was in middleschool.

sorry this kind of art doesnt tell me anythink. I think it lack of concept but perhaps Its just me... maybe I cant see it.

also.. if you use ur fantasy sure you can see lot of stuff into that bunch of messy lines.
I would say you have a great foundation in drawing. What you lack is applying it so people can tell what youre drawing. Tribal goes very well with plated armor, or other concepts, as chicken said. Just try to learn how to add character to your drawings. Webs would look good too.
I am fond of pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals
the drawigns themselves arent that great, but its not often that you see people finish a full page doodle.
you having shown much drawing ability from these
if youre going to make textures from pen/pencil, then youre gna need to simplify your sketches, larger, longer and bolder lines.
there was a user in the past who did pencil on tracing paper texture sets, which were amazing, but far too detailed for toribash.
simplify it and you might have something to work on.
-=Art is never finished, only abandoned=-
Thanks for the constructive criticism guys. I fully understand what you mean.
I am still learning how to add simplicity to my art, and I will keep working on it. I'll draw something later on today and upload a pic.

My problem is, I haven't done any research on how big textures are (128x128, 256, 512) in relation to a piece of paper, so I'll check that out as well and THEN I can get an idea for how simple the textures are going to be.

Thanks again

"Consider, for example, a 512 x 512 pixel image. The so-called print size is calculated using the following formula: size = pixels / resolution. So, since 512 / 72 = 7.11, the considered image is 7.11 x 7.11 square inches (or inē) at 72 dpi (on an output device like a monitor), and 1.71 x 1.71inē at 300 dpi (on an output device like a common printer). Of course, GIMP and similar programs will take into account the image resolution, and will show the image accordingly, regardless of the output device’s resolution."

Should be something your looking for?
Tried finding it, and didn't get many results, hope it helps some.

Definitely helps. I might as well make textures directly from Illustrator, with my drawings as reference. Thanks everyone!
