Im planning to do a jointed lava set and i got the basic idea but it just somehow doesnt look that good (the texture itself) and i dont quite know what....

So Opinions of more then 2 Eyes could help

Lava is monotone as fuck. Give it more colors and stuff. Also, mix rock with lava so it isn't just lava on the backside, and rocks on the frontal side.

The lava actually has 3 difderent red/orange shades... i will just make them more visible (theres stone on the backside aswell)

maybe less split between rock and lava and more mixed

You mean some Rock tiles in the lava aswell? Hey that sounds good

Looks nothing like lava. Fixed it up and mix, mix, MIX. Don't make the lava just three shades. Add some bubbles and a liquid sort of base to it.
