Well, I got to messing with gimp right? I figured out a few things and got to know some of it and messed around. I ended up making my first two avatars ever. Hope you like em.

The first one is sweet.
I love Find edges/glowing edges
also to do easy borders in photoshop:
1: Use the Rectangle seltor and select the whole image.
2: make a new layer
3: goto selection>modify>border
4: in the popup enter in "5 px"
6: use the paint bucket to fill it with the color of your choice.
7: marvel
