More like one or two weeks if it's a first time offence, if you're unlucky it will be one or two months, but this only usually happens if you haven't paid a duel before.

Anyway, next time, before dueling someone, you need to agree a duel prize (both of you). Then, don't forget the winning conditions (like first to 3 wins or whatever...). Take screenshots to avoid problems (F8 button). At least, if you have any issues with that duel, we'll be able to help you out.
