I was recently infected with a critical virus on my computer. One of those that automatically opens an iExplorer window and re-downloads itself. It ate up my bandwidth so that I can't get on the internet for more than a few minutes a week. And during that time, I was banned.

..I tried to login today, [10/11/2008] and it said I was banned for reason "illigal alt."
..I'm not sure what that means exactly.
..If it's not allowed to trade accounts with people, then... well... oops...
..I traded my account with someone with 100k Toricredits for a Game Master account on World of Warcraft.
..If I'm not allowed to do that, could someone please reply?
..If the user had been banned, did it effect me cause of the transfer?

Well, I'm pretty sure it's ilegal to sell a W.O.W. account on toribash, but I'm not sure if that's the reason you got banned.

He plays WoW too. That's how I met him. His video card crashed & ToriBash was still compatible. You can donate for GM there.

Basically, he sold it to me for $50 instead of $200.

No it's not. Account trading on Toribash is perfectly legal.

Although, "illegal alt" means you have 2 or more Toribash accounts, which is illegal on toribash.

Then he gave me the account.
Then he put the credits on his account.
Then gave it back to me.

i felt the same way when i was permabanned a hwile ago. i was banned because apparently there was a troll on the forums at like 1 AM and they thought it was me using another account or something. best advice is to not make any mroe accounts. :/

But I only had one account before this one. And this was only to see why I was banned.

ask them to check the IP's again. that's what helped me out of a mess like this. otherwise, if its not a perma-ban, just wait it out.
