Well it is not bad for a first...
But the hair is out of form in some places.
You really don't know anime head/face proportions.
Nose was made in a strange way.
I dislike the eyes, also you've forgotten eyebows and ears...
You drew it with too low opacity brush tool.
You should find and read at least 1 "How to draw manga" volume. (I may link you via skype.)
It would really help you.

I like the hair shading though...

The hair is descent, the face shape is bad, the character looks fat in a way, but I like the shading and the eyes.

yea well... first time is first time in my case i didn't eaven went see some tutorials or w.e so thanks

and i will be doing a second one tomorrow.

and yea i don't know the porportions and the nose is strange indeed xD

and i mainly focused on the hair... you can even notice that i didn't complete the face shape at all.

I don't like it, the head is round, something not usually done in anime.
Unless the character is fat.
Samurai hair + Fat face = lolwut
lolwut = bad
