photoshop texture making issues.
im trying to make a transparent R_tricep and these are my steps,
1:make the main texture
2: put the white base on Opacity %100 (so you see a checkered base board and the decal)
3:save to my file as ~~~.tga
i put it on texture and upload.

then it has a box witha red "x" and it won't show my texture
Photoshop saves transparency differently than gimp when in TGA format.

If you have the actual texture item and are uploading it, just save it as a .png.

If you don't have the texture item and are going to place it in the custom folder, go to the channels palette, add a new channel (this will be the alpha channel) and then invert it. (Ctrl+i) Save as .tga, etc.

Either way should fix the problem.

If it doesn't try adding a second layer that is just 1 or 2 different colored pixels... just in case.
another way i learned (because i don't have the texture item, and i use elements and it doesn't have alpha channels) is to make the texture in photoshop, open it in gimp and save it from there as a .tga file
