Ok, forged flames are made up of loads of little particles, normally a sort of sphere like shape. The particle texture changes the shape of the particles. It is useless without an actual flame.

Each flame has a different name and price, press ctrl + L ingame to open the flame forger menu, you create your flame there. I decent flame will cost between 70,000 - 100,000TC.
