Correct - it's an issue with older graphics drivers for onboard Intel/SIS chips.

Some onboard graphics chips have had 'customisations' made by the pc manufacturer and the official drivers wont work - if that effects you goto your manufacturers site & get the newest driver they've provided.

Simple...Buy a new one.

If I'm not wrong, they cost a couple hundred bucks.

You can run shaders an a GeForce 6 series (Ѓ40+) and higher or an ATI Radeon 9600 (about Ѓ35ish+) and higher.

Computers are only as expensive as you let them be. ;)

Goto the IBM website, look up your model number - you'll find it all there.
