Hi Stilf thanks for taking an interest.Yes I just got it working about 10 minutes ago. :P I copied a newer suse glibc rpm package from a 10.1 DVD and installed it (glibc-2.5-25.i586.rpm in my case), I was using a binary installer previously which was obviously just too old for the new release of Toribash. So yeah, problem solved.

I had that same problem in kubuntu 6.06. So I just switched over to windows.

I'm using the edgy Kubuntu / Ubuntu, no problem as long as u install the right packages.

By the way, if you're using Kubuntu, I found the package manager of Ubuntu much better, you'd want to try it out.

If you can, do not use packages for they are sometimes out of date or borked.

I'm just too impatient to constantly compile from source our find packages one by one.

I always use packages, and no significant problem so far.
