That should not affect it at all.
I would imagine you've tried it on separate days, and in significantly differing time blocks, so Buck_Turgidson's idea seems to be relatively improbable too.
Do you have access to a separate connection to the internet, or do you have a firewall that might be blocking Toribash's access to the internet?

It has been more then a month before I have ever been able to play also I am on mac.
I will attempt to connect on a separate internet connection.
Seperate internet connection does not help me.
