So, if I get bumpmap and use it, will my textures look better instantly?

Or someone have to make some artistic things with them?

also, is there any chance of adding files into my custom folder so I can see preview, and make decision if bumpmaping myself will be worth?

Also, could someone give me nick of a person who uses bumpmaped set?

look "better" would depend on your texture

if they are simple, theres a chance it would look better. but if they have insane amounts of detail, they'd just look muddled.

they are another layer of detail for your texture giving them... well texture

you could try out bumpmaps for yourself (theres a link in the forum for naming the textures), but basically you append bump to the end of the file like "head_bump.tga" or "r_leg.tga"

It's nice, although, I accidentaly bought bumpmaps instead of normal textures
waste of 40k.

It sucks probably cause you used Paint. And maybe cause the set has allot of detail?

It is probably because he just changed his textures name's to have a _bump at the end. Bumpmaps are a different type than regular textures.

I really don't think hes using appropriate normal maps

avwave told me on IRC that if I add _bump they will look exceatly how they should.

Also, ofc it wasn't created with paint...

no you have to use a normal map of the texture you have.
