It's a cute drawing. You don't need background, but you could crop down the picture. The expression is there, but is pretty flat. Also, the fact that it reminds me of a worm - is that a good or bad thing? Continue with the drawing. I like your bizarre style.

Why did you post this? It's hardly art, a really crappy piece. And terrible aliasing on his helmet. It's basically two circles, and two semicircles for feet, great.
