if i report someone for impersonating, using the report button, will the report go through?

When you press the report button and write your report, that goes directly to smods and admins.
Then they will deal with the report as fast as they can.

It should, just mention why you reported them and the smods/admins will see and take appropriate action.

Note that you can only report if they have posted, since the report button only work for posts.

I would suggest PMing the smods or admins.
