Just wondering whats the normal time for a transaction to be transferred into an account?

depends if he is sending from another paypal account or a bank transfer....paypal transfer is instant bank transfer will take a week or 2.

Bank transfer takes 3-5 days and a regular balance transaction is near-instant.

Mm well Im just wondering because I have recently sold my account ( yesterday) and he says he has sent the money so I don't know whether hes trying to scam or whatnot

Then if the money dosent arrive, then report him.
