You basically need a Graphic Card supporting at least Shaders 2.0 to run Shaders. Obviously, a better graphic card is good too, since I'm experiencing problems with my Ati Radeon 9600, supporting Shaders 2.0. I can't run Shaders in Toribash 3.8, even after having updated my graphic card's driver.

What's your Graphic Card, Faerdin ? Simply open the Start Menu, Run, dxdiag and post the content here.

Most of the recent graphic cards support at least Shaders 2.0. Even old graphic cards support these shaders, like mine (Ati Radeon 9600).

Updating the drivers might not work at all, I did this for a while, and my shaders don't work anymore. Plus, Ati doesn't release drivers for the old gfx cards

You do, else you couldn't even run Toribash or whatever

Pretty much. But make sure the graphic card you are willing to buy is compatible with your computer.
