i've been gone for a little while and i've been trying to get back into the game but its not letting me use shaders with windows 7 and without it the game seems to lag. so am i outta luck?

It's all part of the Windows 7 GL thing.

Microsoft no longer include any form of GL support in Windows 7, so it's up to your graphics card manufacturer to provide them now.

Constantly updating drivers until they get it working is the only solution ATM I'm afraid.

It doesn't only affect Toribash, there's lots of other games & applications that used GL suffering. *shakes fist at MS*
