Toribash
Original Post
fedora issues (there seem to be a lot of these here)
Okay, I installed toribash 3.5.0 on my Fedora. I located the folder in: /usr/share/games/toribash
I clicked the starter icon and... nothing.
I selected "run in terminal" and... nothing.
I know for a fact that I turned on execution permissions.
So I decided to run it manually.
The result?
/usr/share/games/toribash/toribash.bin: error while loading shared libraries: liblua5.1.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

someone else had the same problem on SUSE, but the solution he used didn't work, or I did it wrong.

please help me out!

by the way, I'm new here...

*EDIT: I tried other fixes I found on the forums, none worked

It's because the required lua libraries aren't on your system.

Start the Fedora Package manager & hunt for liblua5

Tell it to install them & that'll fix the problem.

*EDIT*

If you can't find them in the package manager then here's links to download the RPM's

32bit

64bit

That didn't work, when I try to install, it says that it's already there.

I just tried reinstalling it, and it installed to the same place. I noticed that there is a broken link, "default.cfg"

Could that have something to do with it?

Also, I think I should have mentioned that I am running fedora 9, not 12 yet.
You might have more luck using this version of Toribash

http://linux.toribash.com/download/i...50-i386.tar.gz

Just unpack it to a folder (anywhere) and run. It's common to have permission problems with the installer versions.
