video problems
i need help. ive been trying to make videos to show how my flames look ingame, but nothing works. i tried fraps, the fps went to like 10, and i tried hypercam but i cant even watch the avi file (codec problem it says). any ideas? my graphics card sucks (yes its an ati ) and im broke

Well You just have to buy a new computer

thats the only way to play fraps in about 30 fps

only powerfull computers can run games in a good fps with fraps
Hm. Fraps has a functionality called "Don't record lag" or something. Check that, and the video will be smooth.

What?
I have been using fraps for a long time now

there is no such thing as a button called "Don't record lag"
if it does

screenies or it didn't happen
You actually set the framerate.
With 30 it will run faster but with 60 it will run a lot smoother.

I advice 60 if you have a decent GFX card, because you can always modify the playback speed and if it's smoother then it's better.

I meant "no sync". This will make your video be a bit faster, but every frame will be recorded, thus smoothing the video.
My Toribash runs at a very low FPS when I'm recording, but then once you put it in a video editing program it will smooth out.

Also, tick the 'No Sync' box and put the FRAPS FPS at 100.
