So, I got bored recently and saw this guy.
I then got the aspiration to make this a head.

not much to C&C white shapes with green eyes.
needs more everything...
design needs to be more angular, the straight sides just arent doing it for me.
the eyes are QUITE boring and typical...
absaloutly no attempt at coming up with something for the rest of the head.

I have to go with BenD on this one stick. :/ Especially on the bolded part.

Thats right, that is mostly it. And because that is all you have to work with, you really need to push it to the max. Make those flat colors a little more shaded and more sculpted around what a face would look like. i.e. cheeck bones or jaw and brow definition.

so youre saying, because there isnt much to the character, you didnt do much work with it. and we must still think its awesome?

and it wouldnt be so bad if you had gotten the proportions right like i mentioned in my first post. the head in general is just drastically sub-standard. the eyes could have been made so well, the white face design could have been dirtied up and textured into awesomeness

etc etc etc

spawn is just one of those simple design character that looks soooo good.
