what is bumpmap?
I was looking at the textures options, and I saw two sets: one is normal, and the other is bumpmap textures.

What is the difference? can you have both at the same time?

thanks for any responses
i think bumpmat is better qaulity for 3-D images

Bumpmap makes your textures appear more 3-D. It makes it look like your textures would 'pop out' more.

Currently, bumpmaps work in Toribash v. 3.72, and does not work in 3.8.
Yeah both can be equipped at the same time, but note you do need to own the regular textures for Bumpmaps to work.

As Sly said they basically add 3D depth to a texture set but currently have some technical issues.

That being, when the option is turned, on all the textures will turn a shade of grey. But, i hope and bet this will be fixed in the final release of 3.9, if not 4.0.
