I waws thinking about buying some textures, and I already have what theey look like done. However, before I actually buy it, is there any way I can preview what it'll look like in single player?

Yes, you need to buy the textures here, and when you've bought some, go here to activate them.

Well, people can see you textures, if they type /dl 0600Hours and /lp 0 0600Hours, but people won't do that, if you change it fast.

If you don't have the texture items, and you are interested in seeing what your set/textures looks like, you can always save them into your custom folder.
Go into your files. C:/Games/Toribash(Whichever version you run)/custom
Make a new folder and name it something obscure such as 001Hours, 002Hours, etc.
Save your textures into that folder as the corresponding texture part, example head.tga
You must save your textures as TGA, and it's a good idea to turn of RLE compression.
Go ingame, type /lp 0 001Hours or whatever you named the folder, and enjoy.
