I have recently upgraded to windows 7 from xp on which i could play toribash flawlessly. From updating to windows 7 it has been unplayable because of its stutter.

I would appreciate any help in this matter, as i would like to play.

Try updating your drivers, works fine for me.
(Google if you dont know how)

As Blam said, a driver update always does good. The problem can be caused by lacking OpenGL support in the automatically downloaded Windows 7 drivers. I assume you have a Radeon-based GPU. No matter, try a driver update and run it in Windows XP compatibility mode.
