I'm having trouble with making an mpeg video from a replay

first, i downloaded ffmpeg, copied it to data/bin;
next, i started movie.lua, and it ran
when it came to making the .mpeg, there was no freeze as there should have been, and there was no .mpeg anywhere in the toribash folder

any ideas?

That hasn't worked for ages, you can get it to make a stack of screenshots but it won't make the MPG.

You need to get a screen capture app like FRAPS for recording.

I also tried fraps
however, when i enabled shaders in toribash,
and due to my horrible graphics card,
i only got about 8 fps, and although i set fraps to record on 30 fps, the final video still seemed as if it was recording on 8 fps

is there any function in fraps to prevent this?

You need to enable the 'no-sync' option, that'll give a perfect video no matter how slow your pc is.

You'll need a full version for that though.
