This is my first head so I'de appreciate some good C&C.

100% Hand drawn. Used pen tool, and a little tiny bit of drop shadow.

If anyone knows how to make a spinny with good quality on photoshop PM ME!

For the bottom lines to make them straight make them curve down a little on the flat and for the top line I cannot help you unless you are using gimp to make the head.

C&C: I like the shading by the eyes and what tool did you use for the lines? So far 7/10

So far i'm just sketching with pen tool.

I would like to think that extending the back of the helmet farther down the back of the head would make it seem a bit more realistic. Give it a try.

So lower the whole back end to be equal with the tips of the front/bottom of helmet?

Perhaps somewhere between the initial curve of the ear cuts and the bottom of the beard. If that seems still too high I would make it stop at the same level the tip of the beard is at. That way the yellow border line is still visible.
