+Shader Dilemma...lost contact with server
I've done everything the tutorials have said to do, but when i try to apply a shader, it tells me that I've lost contact with the server. What do I do to fix this?
So you're basically playing in multiplayer, but when you turn your shades on you ping?

Do shaders work at all?

What video card do you have?

No, no, I don't ping. I try to activate the shaders in singleplayer and the text box says I've lost contact with server. In multiplayer, the textbox says nothing
Usually that's said when you try to type something in single player.

But that doesnt seem to be a problem, that doesnt actually mean anything since you arent connected when you are in single player.

^^That's singleplayer you're in. Press Esc, click on Multiplayer, select a room, and see if that works out for you. In single player, if you try typing a word (other than commands), it says that you're disconnected.
BAD LUCK
I think he knows that he's playing single player...

OOOH you mean changing your shaders?

I seee.

Press ctrl+h while you got the default shaders activated and select one.

Yeah, I know the difference between singleplayer (free play) and multiplayer.

When I try it in multiplayer, it does absolutely nothing. Not even a textbox message.

I'm running Windows 7. Could it be a UAC issue?

Sorry for the late edit.

There's your answer.

Also if you want to type it its "/lws shadername.inc" like /lws darkvoid.inc
