Paranoia. What is it? Paranoia is the feeling you get when you think you should walk a little faster at night. It's what makes you turn your head fast when the wind blows a door shut. It's what makes you jump when you hear a twig snap in the woods behind you. But what makes us feel Paranoia? Some say it's the work of the Devil. But far be it from Satan to go out of his way to give us a small scare. That eliminates him. What's left? It's probably the inner demon within all of us, come out to play. Have you ever heard the story of the man who was shot to death? They find the criminal and he never sees the light of day again. This isn't one of those stories. The demon inside us has no boundaries. He has no limitations when it comes to pushing us over the edge. He's what makes us yell, "Jump" when we see a man threatening to kill himself on the edge of a building. This demon is what makes us buy a gun for 'protection', when protection isn't necessary. So how does this relate to paranoia? It follows you around, doing small things to scare you. This scare is what warps your mind into something evil, slowly over time. Paranoia possesses a power over mankind that humans have wanted to have for the longest of times. Mind control. Don't laugh, because there have been times when we've all felt paranoid. Some have even felt paranoid to the point where they inflict harm, or damage, on another person. This information I have given you is practically irrelevant to the title. Or is it? Paranoia is the focus of everything I've said. It is also the focus of this: The human mind is so delicate, even the smallest things change it. Think of it like a child. Warping a child's mind is simple. When they are young, you teach them as many things as you can. Morals, lifestyles, maybe even bad things. Then, as they age, they gently grow towards those things you taught them as young, innocent babies. Same thing applies to paranoia. You get that feeling of rush, and you think something crazy. Maybe it's a killer in those woods? Maybe it's a ghost closing that door behind you? Who knows? Maybe it's even...That demon. That inner demon. That inner demon who loves to prey on the human mind.
