Cause old schoolers have to use a key when they registered and you logged on with a different ip that did not have the key entered so its not old school anymore.

your join date is 09 and old schoolers are from 06 to 07 i think or else I would have one

Actually, it doesn't matter either way. You should still receive old schooler status through a valid registration key.
Apparently, it was valid because it says he's an old schooler.
