There once was a world very different from ours. It was located in the outer rim of the Cryton. This world was called Spyrus. The land was split in two after a fierce battle between two gods. “Chaos and Soul”. These two gods were the offspring of Crow and Clover (the previous ruler of Spyrus). The gods fought for hundreds of years until one day, a mysterious disease came into their world. The disease spread for 50 years and killed many of the creatures and gods on the planet Spyrus, including Chaos and Soul. Only nine of the thirty gods were left. Three of the gods set out to different worlds with there creatures. Four other gods went into hiding somewhere on the planet Spyrus. And the last two were too young to even know what happened. These two gods were named Raven (God of darkness) and Pure (god of light). Although these two were completely different elements, they got along just fine. One day the two boys (aged 11) woke up to the sound of a loud screech.
“Get of up Raven!” Pure said starting to look outside of their hut made out of straw and rock, ”It seems to be some sort of flying creature!”
Slowly Raven got up knocking over the candle on the table Pure uses to look over the map of the world. Quickly Pure stuck out his hand and levitated the candle back onto the stone table.
“Be careful Raven!” Pure yelled as he face palmed himself.
Raven quickly blew out the candle and joined Pure by the doorway.
“What do you suppose it is?” Raven questioned.
“I don’t know a bird… duck!” Pure yelled.
The bird dived down and picked up Raven bringing him into the air. Screeching well doing so. Pure could see Raven struggling to breath will the bird’s talons digging into his stomach. As the bird flew away droplets of blood seemed to rain down from the sky. Pure went down on his knees and sank his head in sorrow.
“And that… that was the last time I ever saw him…”
That day was a very hard one for both Raven and Pure. Though they can still sense each other, they can’t find each other.
Slowly Raven crawled through the dense forest with only his fist and powers for weapons. Raven has been searching for his brother now for 5 years. Raven’s attitude had not changed. He is still the annoying, courageous and strong brother. The bird has taken him and dropped him far away when a crack of thunder frightened it. Raven fell over 500 feet before badly injuring himself, but was able to heal barely. He still has the scar from the talons, big and red, and it will always be there for him to remember that horrid moment.
“You’re not alone,” said a deep voice.
Raven spun around to the voice… nothing. Raven thought his mind was playing tricks on him. He kept walking forward.
“I’m still here,” the voice said.
“Who are you?” yelled Raven not sure what to do.
“Some know me as frost, some know me as dew, what you call me is just up to you,” the voice answered poetically.
Raven too scared to speak, decided to do plan A, a roundhouse kick. Raven did his roundhouse kick, but the voice just chuckled. Then Raven did plan B a helicopter kick. All he got was another chuckle. Then plan C, RUN!
Raven ran through the forest jumping over logs and dodging branched until something knocked him out.
After Raven had been taken away Pure also searched for his brother, until he found the city Nitley. Pure never would give up, but if he wanted to go any farther he would need an army or crew.
Pure needed money, and a lot of it. So Pure gambled in poker, blackjack and any other type of gambling he could find. Although Pure was no expert he still managed to get 5000 credits, but that isn’t even a quarter of what he needed for a crew or army.
“All in,” Pure said tossing all of his credits into the centre of the poker table.
The other players looked wide-eyed at Pure. He had just put all his money in. Pure had a flush, and there was only one other person that called, “Ceros. Ceros is one of the best gambler players in Nitley and is known for his bluffing. He also carries a pistol in his pocket, which scares his opponents.
Pure crossed his fingers hoping that he would win. The flop, the river, HE WON 100,000 CREDITS!
“You little son of a bitch!” Cerson yelled pulling out his gun.
Pure leapt over tables and people has he ran for the entrance of the casino. Outside he saw a bar, he quickly hopped into it. He did it just in time too as Ceros ran pass the bar.
All the people in the bar stared at him. They hadn’t seen Ceros so why was wrong?
“Come here boy,” said a man with a short beard.
The man put his hand on Pure’s forehead and raised the hair and gasped.
“It’s him!” the man yelled, “my name is Trojue! That symbol on your forehead is very special…”
“I… I…” Pure stammered.
“You are one of the decedents of the gods, your name is Pure isn’t it?” Trojue asked.
“Yes it is and how do you know about this?” Pure said as he sat next to Trojue.
“I knew you’re father!” Trojue replied, “great man indeed.
Trojue then looked puzzled at Pure.
“Where is your brother?”
Pure explained the story and how he needed a crew or army.
“Well boys, looks like we have ourselves a job!” Trojue yelled.
The whole bar yelled happily and Pure fell out of his chair in amazment.
“You are probably tired!” Trojue said, “you should go rest in the bed upstairs.
The boy went upstairs and closed his eyes and slept.
The next day the crew headed to Porish. Porish is a village ruled by the demons of the north. Trojue was a very good friend of the demons and wanted them to join their crew.
“How much longer?” asked a man with a huff.
“Maybe a day or two until we reach Porish!” Trojue replied.
Pure was at the front as they marched their way through the path. The path was rough because it was surrounded by jungle.
“What are you doing boy?” one man said angrily.
“Shut up!” Trojue yelled at the man.
The man clenched his fists and frowned at pure.
“How do we know he is even a god?” the man yelled.
Pure spun around and dropped to floor and hummed a few words. All of the sudden out of nowhere birds came down from the trees and circled around the man.
“Is that enough for you?” Pure asked grinning.
“Yes sir!” the man yelled nervously,” My name is Clyde by the way!
Pure nodded and motioned the birds back to the trees.
“Okay let’s rest here!” Trojue yelled.
Various sighs of relief could be heard from the crew. Pure laid down and closed his eyes.
Raven woke up rubbing his eyes. He asked himself question: "Where am I?" "What happened?" and "Where is my brother?".
Suddenly everything came back to him. Raven tried to stand up but he couldn’t. He looked around and saw that he was on a ship, tied to a pole.
"Hello!"Raven yelled,"Is anyone there?"
"Why yes I am here... but you cannot see me, look around and maybe you find me."
"Who are you?"Raven asked.
"Why can you not tell who I am.... I am your soul, your head and heart."
"So your me?"Raven asked"Are you some type of spirit?"
"You might say that... but I am also your guild, now what you need to do is get of this ship!"
Raven looked around. He knew he couldn’t be alone on a ship that is sailing in the middle of no where. Raven clenched his fists and looked down. His eyes started to turn red and by 1 minute his body was over 200 degrees Celsius.
"Good... good... now you must arm yourself with a weapon!"
Raven looked around and spotted a barrel. He ran over and opened the top of it. There was nothing in it except for a rope.
"It may come in handy!"Raven said putting the rope in his torn pants.
Raven spotted steps leading into a cabin of some sort. He inched toward the entrance being careful not to be spotted if someone was watching him. Raven saw a rack of swords and pistols. Raven took a sword and put it in his belt along with a pistol.
"Kill the captain!"
"What captain?"Raven questioned,"There is noone on this ship except for me!"
"That’s what you think!"growled a voice above him.
Raven spun around to see a tall man with a scar across he cheek. It was obvious that he was the captain with the hat he wore. The captain’s dark brown hair had grey streaks showing that he was old, not to mention the wrinkles on his face.
"Who are you?"Raven asked.
"I am Captain Redblood!"yelled the man.
"And you want to kill me?"Raven replied.
"Yes, I do"Captain Redblood growled pulling the sword out of his belt.
Raven quickly pulled his sword out and swung it toward the captains chest, but the captain was smarter then that and parried, knocking Raven to the floor.
"Use your powers raven!"the soul yelled.
Raven thought this was a good idea, so he put his hands together and a black round orb formed in his hands. Suddenly from the cabin floor, zombies rose heading towards Captain Redblood.
"Wha...?"Captain Redblood yelled edging toward the back wall of the cabin.
Ravens eyes turned from blue to pure red. The orb grew bigger and bigger until he let the orb go flying at Captain Redblood. He stumbled over on the ground and Raven took his sword and put it on his neck.
"Please spare me whoever you are!"Captain Redblood pleaded.
"I am the god of Darkness, I show no mercy!"Raven yelled at him.
Raven took the sword and slit it across the captains throat. Blood gushed out filling the cabin.
A few minutes later Raven walked up from the cabin covered with blood.
"How do I get out of here?"Raven asked his soul.
"Dream it..."the soul said.
Raven heard this and thought about it. He decided that he needed to rest...
The next day when Pure rose up, eyes droopy from his sleep, he was surprised to smell bacon and eggs.
"I suppose your hungry!"Clyde said.
"Yes, very"Pure said standing up picking up one of the metal plates on the rock near the fire. Pure hadn’t seen real food for a while and savoured every piece! He even licked the plate!
Trojue emerged from a tent nearby.
"Are you ready for another day of adventure?"Trojue asked excitedly.
"You bet I am!"Pure yelled happily.
Pure went into his tent and grabbed a bag. The bag contained: a pistol, a sword, a few loafs of bread, a jug of water, a bottle of honey, a pair of clothes and a locket containing a picture of his brother. Whenever Pure opens his locket, his eyes fill with tears.
"Okay!"Pure yelled"Let’s go!"
The crew walked in a single-file line, with Pure at the front. The day went by very slowly and eventually the moons rose.
"The planet Spyrus has 4 moons. One for each season. Each season has a different coloured moon. Winter has a bright blue moon, Spring has a light green moon, summer has a red moon and fall has a yellow."
"We are not far from Porish, but be ready, we aren’t the only ones in this forest"Trojue said dramatically grinning.
"The rumour has it that the wolves took over the demons!"Clyde said.
"Nonsense!"Trojue yelled"I know the demons well!"
Suddenly out of no where a short creature jumped out of the bushes behind them.
"Stand back!"Trojue yelled holding his sword in his hand.
The creature looked frightened and started running around in circles screaming "Don’t hurt me! Don’t hurt me! Please don’t hurt me!"
"Why if it isn’t Elven?"Trojue said smiling.
"Trojue?"Elven asked.
"We have come to gather an army! My brother has gone missing and we must find him!"Pure said.
"Well first you have a bigger problem!"Elven exclaimed.
Elven explained how wolves had come from the west and taken over the village of Porish. The crew made a plan: Elven would go find the demon army and lead them to the centre of the village where Pure would lead the rest of the demon army to the woods in the west. Then when Pure gives the signal they would all attack, but the one problem was that the demons were currently fighting the wolves.
"We need someone to distract the wolves so I can lead the demons to the centre of the village!"exclaimed Elven.
Elven looked at the nervous faces peering down on him. Suddenly...
"I’ll do it!"said Clyde.
"So it’s settled then?"asked Trojue.
"Yes"said Pure"but what are you going to do?"
Trojue thought about this for a moment, and finally decided that he would go with Clyde to distract the wolves.
"Okay then let’s move!"yelled Pure.
And so the crew set of to do their jobs. Elven ran through the woods, making sure he did not run into a wolf on the way. Unfortunately, Elven, is not the most nimble of the pack, and slipped on a rock and fell into a river. This sound alerted a near by wolf and Elven had two options. 1. Fight or 2. Run. Of course as you probably guessed, Elven ran for his dear life, but the wolf was too fast and jumped in front of Elven.
On the other side of the village Pure was making his way toward the centre of the village. Pure felt something in his head that told him to go back and find Elven. Pure knew he had to stay on task, but if he let Elven die, the rest of the crew would suffer. Pure decided that it would be best to go check on Elven.
Elven stared up at the wolf, which was about ten times his height. The wolf had long white fangs (Which weren’t really white because of the red blood stains on them), a grey hairy body, red eyes which represented their god TDL.
"TDL is the god of the wolves and is sacred to them. Nirs is covered fully red because he bathes in the blood of his victims"
Just when the wolf was about to strike Pure rushed in and flipped in front of the wolf.
"Help me!"Elven cried covering his face.
"I need you to continue to find the first half of the demon army!"Pure yelled motioning Elven towards the end of the river"Follow the river down and you should find the demons there!"
"Yes master Pure!"yelled Elven already on his way.
"Now to handle this fur ball!"Yelled Pure grinning.
The wolf took a strike at Pure with his claws, but Pure simply jumped up and avoided it. Pure ran up to the wolf and kicked the face in jaw. The wolf cried out with pain and stumbled back. The wolf struck Pure again with his claws and this time making contact. Pure fell down, mouth gushing blood.
"Even a god like you, cannot defeat a wolf like me!"the wolf bellowed
Pure went down on the ground and mumbled words. Suddenly a swirl of ice filled the air and before the wolf knew his face was bleeding from the sharp shards of ice. Pure ran to the centre of the village where currently, no one was.
Meanwhile on the south side of the village. Clyde and Trojue were making funny faces at the wolves.
"This is so stupid!"Clyde said.
"You got a better plan?"Trojue asked.
"No!"
‘Then shut up!"
Clyde and Trojue started to run to the river, hoping to lose the wolves well doing so. Clyde sadly broke away from Trojue and got split up. Although Clyde was happy he only had a few wolves to handle, he still knew that he may find himself dead. Clyde noticed a sharp stick coming up as he ran. Clyde picked it up and turned around to face the wolves.
"Take this you dumb hairy beasts!"Clyde yelled striking the first wolf down.
Clyde did ninja like moves as he slain not one, but four wolves before successfully defeating them all.
"Now to find Trojue!"Clyde said heading forward.
Not 100 metres away Trojue was also fighting for his life, with a gun. Trojue had to fight 24 wolves with just 21 pieces of ammo. He shot the first 21 but by then he realized that it would take a miracle to kill the rest in one shot. Trojue decided that he would have to get them in a line. Trojue sat down and waited for the wolves to start charging. Just when they were about to strike, "BAM!" Trojue got a head shot, actually make that 3 head shots!
"CLYDE!"Trojue yelled.
Luckily Clyde heard this and ran to the voice.
"Okay come on, by now the rest probably need our help!"Trojue said.
Raven woke up and looked around. He rubbed his eyes and wondered if he had just dreamt his adventure on the pirate boat.
"Your finally awake!"the spirit yelled.
"Who’s there?"Raven asked.
"Must I repeat myself again?"
"So I wasn’t dreaming?"
"I’m sorry, but unfortunately no."
Raven looked around his area, he thought he recognized this place but he just couldn’t remember. He felt his pockets and sure enough the sword, pistol and piece of rope were still there. Dark sighed and bowed his head down.
"I just want to see my brother again!"Raven sobbed.
"You’ll see him again, I promise!"the spirit replied back.
Raven stood up and took in his surroundings. On his left a giant tree towering high above the clouds, to his right a bridge with short people walking across it, to his front a small village (obviously for peasants) and behind him, a giant wall of rock, which appeared to be a mine. Raven stood there for a moment awed at the sight of this magnificent city. He decided he should talk to the leader. Raven went to a nearby short person with rocks in there hands and asked where the leader is.
"Leader? We have a leader!"the small person yelled dropping his rocks in shock.
"So you don’t have a leader?"Raven responded to the little person.
"Here in Dwarven, us dwarves don’t have a leader, unless you count the elders!"the dwarf replied.
"Your a dwarf!"yelled Raven shocked.
"What do you think!"yelled the dwarf obviously offended.
The dwarf ran away with a humph, leaving Raven stunned and dazed. Raven decided that he would go into the big tree to talk to the elders. As Raven walked in he had to bend down to avoid smashing his head on the ceiling. When the dwarves saw him they all backed up toward a wall, being careful not to become squashed like a fly. A little dwarf approached Raven and bowed down.
"OH GREAT GOD WE WORSHIP YOU!"the little dwarf said.
The other dwarves were obviously confused and scratched their heads.
"THE SCROLL!"the little dwarf yelled.
"Ohh...!"the dwarves said bowing down to Raven.
"Come with me Master Raven"yelled the little dwarf.
The little dwarf lead Raven up a very long set of stairs, and when they reached the top Raven heard a "Ding". This sound was the elevator beside them.
"THERE’S AN ELEVATOR?"yelled Raven.
"Oh yeah... I forgot!"the little dwarf said blushing from embarrassment.
In front of them a fat dwarf sat on a giant red throne eating a huge meal of: wolf flesh, demon legs and monkey heads. Raven was grossed out.
"My name is Midgy!"the little dwarf yelled.
"Nice to meet you Midgy!"Raven said chuckling.
Raven approached the fat dwarf nervously. The fat dwarf looked up and frowned.
"What kind of creature are you?"the fat dwarf asked.
"He is a god, remember the scroll!"Midgy said.
The fat dwarf looked wide eyed at Raven and fell out of his chair. The servants helped the fat dwarf up.
"YOU’RE RAVEN?"the fat dwarf yelled.
"Yes, I am"replied Raven.
"THEN HELP US!"
"With what!"
The fat dwarf looked at Midgy. Midgy seemed to realize what the fat dwarf was saying.
"Follow me!"Midgy yelled.
Midgy led Raven back down (using the elevator this time), out the doors and into the mines. The mines were covered with busy dwarfs. Some carried rocks, others carried pick axes.
"So what is the problem?"Raven asked looking around.
"We are not at the lair yet, your majesty!"Midgy said smiling.
"Lair?"Raven said nervously, knowing that a lair usually meant a "monster’s lair".
Suddenly something clicked into Raven’s mind.
"Wait a minute!"Raven yelled"The lair of Inux?"
"YES!"Midgy yelled.
Inux is a 4 headed creature that roams the mine eating dwarves. The dwarves were like ants to Inux. Inux had a sharp set of teeth, bloody claws and is 30ft tall.
"I read about Inux in an ancient scroll I found near my home!"Raven exclaimed.
"That reminds me!"Midgy said"Where is your brother Pure?"
Raven stopped in his tracks and let a tear run down his cheek. Raven lifted up his torn shirt revealing the bloody scar from the bird that had separated him from his brother.
"What happened?"Midgy said obviously worried for the poor god.
Raven told Midgy the whole story as they walked to the lair. Raven ended right when they reached the lair. A steel metal door with armed dwarves crowded around it.
"Step aside!"Raven yelled.
The armed dwarves obviously knew who Raven was, because they immediately moved.
"Stay here Midgy!"Raven said motioning Midgy to stay put.
Midgy nodded as the guards open the door. There in front of him, the giant monster stood picking the flesh out of his teeth.
Midgy groaned at the sight. Raven pulled out his sword and charged toward the beast. Inux didn’t notice him at first, but when Raven stabbed his leg he immediately struck with his bloody claws sending Raven into the hard, cold, stone wall. Raven groaned and stood up slowly. Inux was facing the other way, so Raven threw his sword right at it’s back. Inux fell over in pain and growled. Inux stood up and started to charge toward Raven. Raven started to charge right back at Inux. Just when they were about to collide into each other Raven jumped. Inux smashed into the wall. Raven went down on the ground and hummed a dark tune. Slowly a dark shadow rose. It took the form of a dragon. The dragon charged over to Inux, but Inux simply hit the dragon sending it back to Raven. The dragon roared and charged again this time with it’s mouth open, ready to bite. The dragon bit Inux’s arm sending the arm spinning into the air, blood raining around Raven. The dragon moved back and a red ball of inferno formed in it’s mouth. Suddenly a huge burst of fire burned Inux until he was in ashes. Then all the dwarves came running through the door (avoiding the blood) and hugged Raven.
Elven ran and ran down the river, making sure he did not trip on rocks (again). Through the thick brush of the forest Elven could see the army standing there confused. Elven rushed over to the army and explained the plan. The army ran to the centre of the village where Pure was standing waiting.
"Where is Trojue?"asked Elven.
"He should be here soon..."replied Pure.
Just then Clyde and Trojue came running with more wolves chasing them.
"OH MY GOD!"yelled Clyde.
"Never use god’s name in vain!"yelled Trojue frowning.
"WHO CARES?"yelled Clyde.
"ATTACK!"yelled Pure.
The demon army charged at the wolves, as the wolves charged at the demons. Pure stayed behind and lifted his arms into the air and sung a sacred hym. Suddenly a giant dragon flew down from the sky.
With echoing screeches the dragon bombarded the wolfs with a sonic wave of terror. Blood and guts flew in the air like confetti.
Even now you can hear the wales of terror from the wolfs on that bloody night.
As pure gazed across the field he could see the anger boiling over inside of the wolves leader. He took it upon himself to have final words of piece with this beast that resembled there great deity. As he took one step to the opposite side. He heard a voice. Both welcoming and distant. With his head spinning around searching for the voice it occurred to him that it was that of the deity that now stood with in striking distance of him. Pure with astonishment leaped back and was 5 seconds from unleashing a fierce storm of wind when suddenly the wolf began to glow. As pure lowered his hands the deity started to take the shape of a sullen beauty. Her hair the color of blood red. With the most warming and devilish grin you have ever seen. She began innocently approaching pure. As she opened her mouth pure was instantly spell bound by her words.
"So you are the famous son of Soul." she spoke as she examined pure head to toe.
Pure to shocked from these words as well as captivated by her essence could not say anything back.
"Well then you must have so many questions and little answers, Here let me ease your pain." as she said this, she extended her hands and touched pures forehead. As she did this, pure collapsed. Memories long time suppressed and thought forgot now flood his mind. As this happened he saw him self in a battle ground both unfamiliar yet nostalgic. Before him stood a glowing figure. He couldn't see the face but guesses that the figure was soul. Pure realized that it was a memory fragment as soul walked past him and approached a figure entrenched in shadows. Even though all heaven and hell broke loose around them. In that one circle nothing entered in, it was almost tranquil. Then everything went black again. As he woke he say the woman staring down at him. Petting his head as she ran her fingers through his hair. He realized that he was on her lap. And sprang to his feet, as she rose up again. He was once again captivated in her beauty.
"Who are you?" pure finally able to find the words to speak.
"My name is Sanguinea Lunae, but you can call me Luna." As she said this her eyes started to shimmer a light green. And she abruptly disappeared. Along with her so did the wolfs both seemed to be dead and the ones in mid fight. As if nothing had happened. Pure called of his beast. And looked at the sky still wondering if what he had saw was real or just a figment of his imagination. As he shoved his hands into his pockets he felt a small round object. As he took it out he realized that it was the necklace that the strange woman wore. Over whelmed from the confusion. Pure passed out again.
*To be continued*
