I put the TGA. textures, all named correctly, into the preview folder but when iI typed /lp 0preview it didn't work work.
Any suggestions?

type in /lp 0 preview

If you put the set in a custom folder called preview then do what he said above.
If you put the set in for example gameeater you /lp 0 gameeater.

Do you have the textures in capitals eg Head not head

head.tga should be fine.

but I think he put the wrong command in
if you read the first post he said /lp 0preview not /lp 0 preview

Yah, i think jenios is right. put a space after the number.
he said he put it in a folder named preview. check if there's an item.dat in the folder and delete it. and /lp 0 preview again.

item.dat shouldn't disturb the texture loading onto toribash

well sometimes item.dat does if you've got TB to auto-dl texture. Specially if preview is a real username.
